The Alloa Wagon Way interpretation information was collated by local museum service and then designed and produced by Art is an Option. These information points combine visually engaging informative in a structure that requires very low maintenance.
The focus of the interpretation scheme is to inform visitors and locals about Alloa’s Historic Wagon Way. The panels tell the story of how the route was used to transport coal from Clackmannanshire’s coal pits to Alloa’s once thriving port.
The Wagon Way is an area unfortunately prone to Graphite and vandalism so the lecterns panels are made of GRP. In most cases graphite can be removed from the GRP panels which are themselves set into robust sandstone lecterns which are both impressive and practical.
